What is the impact on the upcoming accreditation with the current state of the High School and no firm plan to remediate?

There is a potential impact on Sharon High School’s accreditation due to the condition of the high school. This year the high school is going through the NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) accreditation process. There are five standards that are evaluated for accreditation. Standard 5: Learning Resources is where the condition of our building will be questioned, specifically standard 5.1, 5.1a, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 (See attachment). Most recently, Somerville high school was cited and in 2007 Belmont High School was sited and both were at risk for losing their accreditation.
